  Please join us for a very special Networking Breakfast with Jim Rooney ’86, a business owner, consultant, national speaker and author of the book, A Different Way to Win: Dan Rooney’s Story from the Super Bowl to the Rooney Rule.  In this poignant account of his father’s life, Jim takes us behind the scenes to share stories about his father Dan Rooney’s long and successful career, including his journey as steward of the Rooney Rule. Jim will talk about his father’s leadership lessons - from winning 6 Super Bowl championships to being named United States Ambassador.
  
  

  Jim travels the country speaking to corporate leadership, the media and university students about the history, intent and spirit of The Rule – and its role in building stronger communities. His book quickly became an Amazon Best Seller and was selected on President Obama’s 2019 Book List. The audiobook (by the same name) was released in November 2024.

  
  Jim has an M.A. in Organizational Development from Case Western Reserve University, a certificate in Change Leadership from Georgetown University and a B.A. from Boston College.

  In addition to being an alumnus, Jim is also a member of Gilmour’s Board of Trustees and father of Jimmy Rooney ’14.
