    Anastasia Auditions

    The audition songs will be sections of "Journey to the Past" for girls and "My Petersburg" for boys. We will teach you the music, and you will not need to sing in front of your peers--just show up and we will work with you!

    Students are required to attend one of two presentations: Monday, September 9 at 8 a.m. OR Wednesday, September 11 during Community Block, 1:15 p.m.

    Parents are highly encouraged to attend. No RSVP is needed.

    All men and women of the Gilmour community are invited to join us for the Gilmour Academy Networking Breakfasts.
     
    This month’s featured speaker is Greg Quast (father of Alexandra ’06, Harrison ’09 and Braeden ’11 Quast). Greg served as president of the Gilmour Men’s Club from 2008-2009. Greg is the president of Nagle Companies, a for-hire transportation and logistics company located in Walbridge, Ohio, and his talk will focus on transportation and the economy.
     
    In business for more than 40 years, Nagle provides a wide range of options in refrigerated and dry commercial transportation space, which include full truckload, less-than-truckload, parcel and expedited services. Their facility has more than 66,000 square feet of food grade warehousing and offers cross docking and storage capabilities. They also provide dedicated shuttle and fleet maintenance services.
     
    Greg received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry and has held many key leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies. He has been repeatedly recognized for his technology innovation and organizational excellence. An entrepreneur at heart, Greg has built and rebuilt several businesses in the transportation and education fields.
     
    As an active member of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), Greg is a member of the Food Loss & Waste Committee. Greg is also a certified transportation broker with the Transportation Intermediaries Association and holds his Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
     
    Greg and his wife, Barbara, reside in Perrysburg, Ohio.

    Share a Dessert and Story

    The Jewish Heritage Club is sponsoring a Dessert and Story Share during community block in the atrium.
     
    We're asking students, faculty and staff (up to 30) to bring in a plate/dish that represents something important to you and your heritage.  It might be a family recipe, something Grandma always made for the holiday or just a dish you make and share with your family.
     
    If you plan to bring in a dish please complete the Google Form, bring in a dish to the Teacher's Lounge on Tuesday with a Recipe Card/Story or note of why this dish is important to you and your family.  
     
    If you're not bringing in a dish then feel free to stop by the atrium and enjoy a dessert and story.

    Students and families interested in our Upper and Middle School (Grades 7-12) can attend an optional information session from 11 a.m. - noon in The Lorraine and Bill Dodero Center for Performing Arts. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., you will have the opportunity to speak with current faculty, administrators and families, learn more about tuition assistance, tour campus with a student ambassador and meet our athletic coaches. Join us for either portion or both.
