Service and spirituality extend far beyond the walls of the classroom at Gilmour Academy with trips that strengthen moral formation, leadership, responsibility and cultural competency.
Retreats are built into the required curriculum at every grade level, giving students the opportunity to remove themselves from everyday routines to connect, reflect and pray. Highlights include:
Juniors and seniors are invited to participate during spring break in one of two service trips connected to the Holy Cross Congregation scheduled each school year.
International service trip to Honduras: Travel to Honduras occurs twice each year, including a summer trip.
Domestic mission trip: Previous experiences have included disaster recovery in New Orleans and California.
*Students who participate in a service trip will be awarded the 60 hours of service required for graduation; however, students must have earned at least 10 additional hours at a local agency prior to the trip.

"Kairos was the most impactful experience at Gilmour Academy. It helped shape my perception of the world and visualize the sense of community within our wonderful school."
