Students Hear From Dr. Chuck Wellman ’68 at Cum Laude Ceremony
On Tuesday morning, 15 members of the senior class were inducted into the Cum Laude Society. After Mrs. Kenny and Mr. Ryzner presented them with their certificates and Cum Laude pins, all were treated to remarks from Dr. Chuck Wellman ’68, who recently retired as the medical director of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
In addressing the students, Dr. Wellman shared the three lessons he imparted on all his medical students and young residents: Be curious (never stop asking questions). Be quiet (listen to those around you and you’ll be amazed at what you learn). Be kind (to others and to the environment). His words should serve as guideposts for our students for many years to come. Thank you, Dr. Wellman!
