Javi Swinarski ’26 set an ambitious goal of collecting 20,000 pairs of socks for this year’s Socktober drive—and thanks to the incredible Gilmour community, he didn’t just meet it, he crushed it!
Javi will be donating 22,684 pairs of socks to Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina, the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, and the Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center.
The competition was fierce, but shoutout to the Middle School for winning with an impressive 1,062 pairs from just the seventh and eighth grades!
Huge congratulations to Javi for his amazing success and for having the courage to act in creating a more humane and just society.
