 President-Elect Trump Taps Two Lancers to Serve as Top Advisors
 
In mid-December, Trump named Goldman Sachs Group Inc. President and Chief Operating Officer Gary Cohn ’79 as director of the National Economic Council, which coordinates economic policy across the various government agencies.
 
 
 
On January 3, Trump announced that he will nominate lawyer Robert Lighthizer ’65 as U.S. trade representative. Lighthizer served as deputy U.S. trade representative under President Ronald Reagan and will play a key role in Trump's trade agenda.
