On Wednesday, many of our generous donors gathered in the Floyd E. Stefanski Ice Center to celebrate the completion of our Ice Center Improvement Project. As part of our Campaign for Lancer Athletics, we raised more than $1.3 million for this project, which included:
conversion of the caged area in Rink 2 to create two fully enclosed locker rooms with dry rooms as well as shower and restroom facilities
a new second-floor family viewing room above the locker rooms, overlooking Rink 2, including an office, gathering area, restroom facilities, wheelchair lift and interior and exterior stairways
additional space for the Girls Hockey Locker Room by attaining Locker Room D
the expansion and reconfiguration of Locker Rooms A & B to accommodate rentals.
These improvements are a testament to the growth and strength of our hockey program at Gilmour. We are grateful to everyone in the Gilmour community that made this possible.
Photos of the new facilities can be seen here and the “first look” celebration here.
